harvardsquareofmassachusettsHarvard Square is actually originated in 1630 as the village of Newtowne. This settlement in Harvard Square history was intended by the Proprietors of Massachusetts Bay Colony to be their capital. In current day Harvard Square still possesses buildings and landscape attributes from almost every course of its ongoing development. Harvard Square exhibits a rich combination of architecture and historical sites in a charismatic community and commercial backdrop.

Harvard Square shopping is definitely something to be celebrated! “The Garage” is a small, multi-story shopping center named thus as it used to be a parking garage before it was converted into a shopping area. When doing some Harvard Square shopping you can find funky shops and clothing stores worth a look. Harvard Square shopping has the best of everything and items from antiques and collectibles to techie gadgets and clothing can be found here.

A Taste of Culture is a unique shop located on Mass Avenue and owned by a native Peruvian woman who travels the world in search of distinct treasures to stock her shelves with. The Tannery on Brattle Street is also definitely worth a look. The Tannery is a Harvard Square shopping hot spot offering apparel, accessories and fine shoes to shoppers.

Harvard Square restaurants provide hungry clients with savory menus and a flood of dining options. After some well spent shopping time, pop into a great restaurant such as Casablanca on Brattle Street. The menu features are all carefully made to your liking and the restaurant’s walls are adorned with hand painted murals.
