Cuevas De Bellamar of CubaCuevas De Bellamar or Bellamar Caves is one of the top tourist destinations of Cuba. This Cave can be accessed from Varadero, Havana or the port city of Matanzas.

Rest assured when it comes to the Cuevas de Bellamar. They will both impress and confound all at once. A hidden underground, a truly magical world that exist here in Cuba.

The Bellamar Caves have had plenty of time to “decorate”, so to speak, and as such, speleologists, or scientists, who study caves, and curious visitors alike, are rewarded with a most spectacular array of galleries. The caves have been one of the most-visited Cuba tourist destinations ever since this serendipitous incidence, and understandably so.

It’s very easy to arrange a tour of the Bellamar Caves because there are many tour agencies that can help you find a way to get there. Well, at least you already have a bit idea about the place. Guided tours are the norm at the Bellamar Caves, and they allow you to make sense of formations like the Fountain of Youth or known as (La Fuente de La Juventud), and the Grated Coconut Gallery also known as (Galería de Coco Rallado).

After the sightseeing inside the cave, there is a cafe outside the cave available, they offer a lunch that is good for your budget. Souvenir shops are also available. The Bellamar Caves is open daily from 9am until 6pm only. When you visit, make sure to bring with you a mountain shoes, because it’s a bit slippery inside the cave although they have provided some good stairs.

Did you know? That the Cuevas de Bellamar or Bellamar Caves is believed to have been formed some 300,00 years ago.
