Leaning Tower of Pisa of ItalyThe Leaning Tower of Pisa is situated in Campo dei Miracoli (field of Miracles). The people of Pisa don’t just like the leaning tower, they really adore it.

The History of the Leaning Tower of Pisa is equally strange for most of people. It all started as a bell tower in 1173 for Pisa’s Cathedral, it wasn’t until five years later began to tilt downward, right after the third floor was completed.

The Tower was built with a dense of clay mixture that was not strong enough to hold the bell tower and the construction was said to be halted for nearly one hundred (100) years.

After a hundred years, the history of Leaning Tower of Pisa took another step, architech Giovanni di Simone completed an additional four more floors. At last, in 1372, the bell chamber was then attached to the top and the tower was gratefully left alone until the 19th century, giving it the shape that is memorialized in so many ceramic leaning tower of Pisa souvenirs across the world. In 1838, architech Alessandro Gerardesca decided it was perfectly good idea dig out a walkway around the tower so that tourists or visitors could see its carefully crafted base part. Another architect Benito Mussolini tried to straightening the tower. He ordered the foundation to be filled in with concrete, but then the concrete sunk into the wet clay and the leaning tower continued its prolonged fall towards the ground. Finally, after a combination of counterweights, slings and excavated soils have stabilized one of the famous buildings in the world.

If you are looking for a place to stay, Rome Hotels are not really expensive, you may even find a rate that is suitable for your own budget, and after a long walk visiting the place, why not relax with Thalasso, and sure thing you’ll feel better and better. If you have lots of time visiting the world, why not try Madrid? They also had lots of best tourist destinations to offer, and speaking about accommodations, there are lots of cheap Madrid Hotels. Don’t miss the opportunity of visiting all the attractions of Madrid, or else your visit will not be complete.

Did you know? That during the World War II, the invading America Army ordered all the towers in the city destroyed to protect against the threat of enemy snipers. And only a last-minute retreat spared the tower from destruction. The Pisa of Rome is now considered as one of the best and famous buildings in the world and widely known as one of the top tourist destinations.
