Tanzania Safari of Tanzania

Perhaps the most famous location for a Tanzania safari is the famous Serengeti National Park. Located not far from Mount Kilimanjaro, this park officially encompasses a great deal of other smaller conservation areas and parks, including the Maasai Mara.

If you are considering African safari tours or an African safari vacation, two of the most likely countries on this large continent to grab your attention will likely be north-south neighbors Kenya and Tanzania. While Kenya has Maasai Mara and Nairobi National Park and other varied game parks, there are an equal number of opportunities to safari in Tanzania, many close to the Kenyan border for those who wish to combine more than one safari location into a grand vacation package.

There are many other options to safari in Tanzania. Another fabulous place to view a large number of animals, including the black rhino, is the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The focal point of the Conservation Area is the Ngorongoro Crater, which shelters lush grasslands and water sources. While Mount Kilimanjaro may be commonly known as something to climb, the areas around the mountain also offer excellent safari opportunities. Beyond these large, northern destinations, Tanzania has many game parks in other regions as well. The Selous Game Reserve and Ruaha National Park to the south, to the west is the Gombe Stream National Park and Mahale Mountains National Park where Jane Goodall researched and interacted with chimpanzees. Any of these parks make an excellent vacation package inclusion to a Tanzania safari.

It’s often more economical to schedule a vacation package with an African safari tours company instead of putting your trip together yourself. In addition to better prices, African safari tours offer the additional bonus of having a knowledgeable guide and ensuring that you don’t show up to a hotel that turns out to be unacceptable on arrival. Tanzania has a few different airports depending on which region you go to, but likely you will fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport in the north or Julius Nyerere International in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania’s largest city.

No matter where you choose to safari in Tanzania, you will not be disappointed by the stunning scenery and wildlife in this East African nation.

Did you know? That the land in this gigantic park spans over hills and grasslands and is home to an amazing array of wildlife like Lions, elephants, and the rest of the Big Five all can be found here, or come during the rainy seasons to see the fantastically massive wildebeest and zebra migration. This Tanzania safari will not leave anyone wanting for more.
