Chobe National Park of Botswana
Chobe National Park in Kasane Botswana has the largest concentration of elephants in the world.
In the dry season (April to October) watch them enjoying an afternoon drink from the Chobe River. The park’s different ecosystems make it home to a wide variety of other species. In the north the flood plains of the Chobe River support rhino, buffalo, antelope, giraffe and hyena. Waterbirds skim over the waters while crocodiles lurk beneath the surface.
Further south, towards Savuti, plains and mopane woodland form the landscape. Lions hunt herds of antelope and giraffe pluck leaves from the treetops. Lodges operate safaris and
boat trips on the banks of the Chobe River, while further south there are some basic campsites for intrepid forwarders.
Though elephants can be seen in other countries like India, Indonesia, Africa and many more, here is different, you’ll find most of the elephants in a large group.
Other attraction in Botswana to visit is the Okavango Delta.
Did you know? That the park is a home to around 50,000 elephants making it as one of the best tourist destinations in Botswana.
